The area of mathematics expanded with the introduction of Bsc non medical stream in the year 1979. It is one of the leading departments of physical sciences. Where the overall development of\u00a0 student is on the top most priority. The adoption of new technology in more and more organization and industrial concern has increased the demand of mathematics. Keeping this in view, the college took pride in introducing the postgraduate degree of science in the subject of mathematics which was introduced during the session 2000-2001 with the intake capacity of 30 students.<\/p><p>Department of mathematics has brought Laurels in academics as the number of students got the university positions. Also there is a list of students of MSc mathematics who got the gold medal in University examination. Keeping in the view of academic records of the department, University increased the number of intake capacity from 30 to 45 students from the session 2021-2022.
